Starbucks Mini Album - With a Shot of Fun

I am not sure exactly where I saw or got this idea but it is the cutest little mini album I  have ever done. All it took was a quick call to our one and only Starbucks explaining what I wanted to do and not only did they give me cup(s) but they gave me bags, tissue and sleeves. I love living in a small town.

For this project I used all stamping up products from the NEW Holiday Mini Catalogue and a few items from the Idea Book and Catalogue 201-12.

Don't be scared by the list of supplies you can do anything you want this is just what I used to create my version of the album.

It's Easy to LOVE Missy "O"

Gosh it is hard to believe that it has been a month since my last post and really have no excuse other than things have been busy. From dealing with my depression to my Dads tumour not shrinking and the discovery of two more life just seems to be passing by so quickly.

But like everything we need to continue you to live each day to the fullest and enjoy the time that we have no matter what. Life does go on. For today's over due post I am celebrating my love for Miss Olivia, the daughter of my wonderful friend Kim (see Kim and Nicks wedding here).

This weekend we are celebrating her 2nd birthday it's hard to believe how much she has grown from her 1st birthday. So I thought I would celebrate by doing a special page of her. I also found this beautiful poem that simple describes everything I love about little girls.

The Love of Little Girls

Little girls are made of daisies & butterflies & soft kitty cat purrs

And all the precious memories of times that once were.
Little girls are made of angel's wings and giggles and a firefly's glow
And all the happy feelings, deep inside, that we all know.
Little girls are made of cinnamon and bubbles and fancy white pearls
And snowflakes and rainbows and ballerina twirls.
Little girls are made of sunshine and cupcakes and fresh morning dew,
And these are the reasons, little one, why everyone loves you.

I love how the colours are working here all the pink makes the green so more electric so pretty.
By making this design nice and simple it allows the photo to be the main focus. 



I love creating flowers they are so easy to do, all you need is a punch, some water, coloured mist, and you have a beautiful flower. Add some items that you found in the jewelry section of your local craft store and you have a one of a kind flower that no one else has.

Happy 60th Wedding Anniversary Mom and Dad Louiseize

Welcome to Saturday

Today we are celebrating my husbands parents sixtieth wedding anniversary, yes I said sixty. I can't imaging how much things have changed over the last sixty years for them. I often wonder if JC and I will every see twenty-five years let alone sixty? Why if we were to celebrate our sixtieth wedding anniversary that would be in the year 2063? Yikes we only have 53 more years to go.

Anyway the family is having a gathering at JC's brothers place and include in the celebration are my parents too, which is wonderful. The following cards are for them one from my parents and one from JC and I.

the flower plus a little rock and roll of colour

This card was made using Creative Elements, Hostess Something to Celebrate stamp sets. I love the swirly background from Creative elements and the that I created using silver and the tag, a few jewels and it is lovely!

Raspberry Delight - Journaling Even the Simple Things

Today I am making some homemade rasberry ice cream for my trip to Barrie and my visit to my next door neighbours new home. She always said if she could make ice cream a food group it would be the only thing she would ever eat. Her's to her see you in a few days!

One thing I find hard not having children is journaling or even keeping memories of the simple things, like making homemade ice cream. One of the reasons I don't really scrapbook is what do I scrapbook about? I can only do so many pages of the dogs I mean they are super cute and I love them but come on how many times can you document them sleeping, eating or doing those cute doggy things they do. So I thought well why can't I do really anything, even the simple things? There is nothing wrong with doing this, I can make memories about things like making ice cream, or spending a day doing nothing but reading a book, or even better about how my lovely husband patiently waits in the car while I scope out the local scrap booking store while he plays his guitar. So that's what I have decided to do, I will scrapbook about simple things that mean something to me.

Afternoon Tea Party - Delicate Doilies Purse with Cards

If Only It Was Sunny

Today's share is what we made at my Tea Garden Party on Sunday which ended up being indoors because the weather wasn't cooperating. Some of the ladies attending came in style, with floppy hats and dresses looking super chic in their Sunday best.

Everything was pre cut, ready for assembling something nice and simple but oh so sweet.

After the class we enjoyed tea sandwiches and wonderful desserts ranging from cream puffs with delicious fillings, to my home made Chocolate Kahlua Delight. And for those watching there waistlines we also had individual servings of crudites and yogurt dipping sauce! Yummmmm Topping it off was ice cold pink lemon aide and tea!

Dunnet Head Scotland - Using the Open Sea

I love Scotland and I miss it terribly, today's post is using Stampin' Up's The Open Sea stamp set which I absolutely love and Rough Type.

Dunnet Head is the most northerly point of mainland Britain. Dunnet head lighthouse was built in 1831 by Robert Stevenson, grandfather of the author Robert Louis Stevenson. The stone used to create this beautiful lighthouse and its surrounding walls was taken by horse and cart 3.2 km overland from Brough Harbour.

The cliffs as you can see are high and the view is never ending sea, the wind was cool and fresh such a beautiful place to visit.

I love to stamp on my photos, I find it gives them a
more aged look and I love that look.
