Can You Smell It in the Air? and Holiday Mini Swap 2009

Can You Smell It in the Air?

September is right around the corner and for most of you like me what happened to the summer? Have you noticed the nights have been cooler, getting up in the morning darker? I know that our house has been busy getting ready for the open house and now packing for the move. But really, I am having a hard time with this.

Don't get me wrong love the fall; it is my favorite time of the year. I love the smell of the season changing in the air, the colours that Mother Nature creates from her palette; yellow browns, bright oranges and fiery reds. Can you say comfort food, I love getting out my Crockpot and making batches of spaghetti sauce, chili and my favorite beef bourgeon, I can smell it all ready.

Another one of our favorites is checking out the changing of the colours in Gatineau and even better taking a old steam train from Ottawa to Wakefield enjoying the spectacular view and dinner at the same time. If you are every in Ottawa in the fall or really anytime it is a wonderful thing to experience. See here Hull-Chelsea-Wakefield Steam Train.

Holiday Mini Swap 2009

One of the other things I like about the time of year is the Stampin’ Up Holiday Mini Catalogue. I love the big catalogue but really it’s the “specialty” mini’s that I love the best and this years is no exception. Along with the mini catalogue come many of our swaps, these swamps are shares that we do so we can have samples of other demonstrators cards and frankly it is so much fun.

Here are my submissions to Sherida’s swap that are due this coming Monday.
