Spring Wedding Invitations - Hand Designed and Printed

Today here in Canada we are experiencing a cold spell, whiteouts and weather typical to our location much different than what we experienced yesterday.

After yesterdays spring tease I just had to show a invitation that I created that will having you thinking of spring and cherry blossom trees. This invitation is an accordian style invitation, it measures flat 15"w x 7"h; it has 2 folds one at 5" and the other at 10". This invitation fits in a standard envelope, and features a postcard style replycard that perferates from the end of the invite it also has Other Wedding Events and a Map showing key spots like where the church is located the reception and even key landmarks. All easily customized to your particular taste.

This invitation was designed as a accordian fold, add a simple shear ribbon and you have an absolutly beautiful invitation.

The accordian fold allows for panels the more folds the thicker the invitation. The following images are based on each panel being 5" w x 7" h the entire invitation has 6 panels and is 2 sided. Flat this invitation is 15"w x 7"h folded it is 5" w x 7" h.

Happy Birthday My Friend

Springs Right Around the Corner with Springtime Vintage

I am little late in posting this but I love it so that I just had to share.

I made this birthday card for my good friend Yvonne using Stampin' Ups designer series paper Springtime Vintage from the Occasions Mini Catalogue.

I have know Yvonne for 20 years now, over those twenty years I have grown to love her like a sister. Through the years I have seen her children born and have watched them turn into these absolutely lovely women. Something she and her husband Bob can be so proud of. Not only are their girls beautiful on the outside but on the inside is there true beauty. She has allowed me to love them like my own, be their friend and share in their lives. She is a fabulous wife, I am sure her husband can attest to that. She is a wonderful mother, sister, daughter and friend she is the kind of person you would want in your life. She would do anything for you.

Happy Birthday my Friend you hold a special place in my heart, just wanted you to know.

Guest Speaker Sale-A-Bration Smackdown

Yesterday was a fantastic day, I was the guest speaker at Sale-A-Bration Smackdown for local demonstrators and customers. Basically we get together and learn new ideas and techniques and of course the make-and-takes can't forget them. This was organized by the ever so lovely Marlayne from SparkleDaisy Stamping Thank you Marlayne!

Over the next few days I will be showing you what I created for this event and what I talked about. This was my very first time as a guest speaker but I have to tell you the ladies made me feel so at ease and so welcomed that it was like a walk in the park. I will also show you the fantastic make-and-takes that we made.

Over the next few weeks I will also be posting my Sneak Peaks for this years Wedding Invitation Workshop. So there are lots of things going on over here in the studio.

Dreaming = Creative = Pillow

Creating for me is like breathing, cut off the creativity cuts the oxigen to my brain, not good. Most of the ideas I have been getting lately have come from dreams I have had. For example, many of the wedding invitations that I have designed come from dreams and anything 3D too.

Generally I don't sleep through the night, mostly a couple of hours. If I am having a creative dream I make sure that I have paper close by and a pen and flashlight so I can jot down what ever it was that I dreamed. Now for most of you, you probably think I am nuts and you might be right but if I don't write it down chances are I won't remember it and that just can't happen.

I love the fact that not only are Stampin Up's Classic Ink Colours fantastic but they also offer a Craft version for many of them that can be used for everthing else that isnt paper. This opens even more possibilites of creating items other than cards of scrapbooking.

I have always wanted to stamp on fabric and I have been dreaming of doing a pillow for so long it seems. Again another one of those dreams. So as one of my projects to "Show and Tell" for Sale-A-Bration Smackdown I designed this pillow using Stampin Up Products!
