Wedding Invitation Design No. 2

This one has to be my favorite. I love the lack of colour and elegance, this particular design has a hidden uniqueness that you will have to attend the workshop to see. The contrast between Wedding Invitation One and Two is very obvious allowing you to show the versatility of Stampin' Up's products. Simple Elegance describes this design.

Featured Stamp Set: Tiny Tags

Tiffany White Wedding Invitation

The Beauty of Turquoise & White give this Wedding Invitation a Crisp Fresh Look.

I have had this package of card stock for I am sure a year and have never opened it, and I thought to myself wouldn't this be a good colour for a wedding invitation. I mean it so reminds me of Tiffany's in New York City see here but of course a little brighter. It can't be just any invitation it has to be different, only two colours, Whisper White and Tempting Turquoise.

I am so love'n this, what a combination Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White how can just two colours say so much! For this Invitation I used only SU product from Whisper White Card Stock, Tempting Turquoise Card Stock; Friendly Words and Friends 24-7 Stamp Set and from the Occasions Mini Catalogue 5/8" Satin Ribbon Whisper White.

Garden of Life Wedding Invitation

2009 Wedding Colors This Year, Go Bold!

As we all know white is the traditional colour for a wedding dress but brides are getting creative and want to throw caution to the wind by using more contemporary colours for their big day. In 2007 and 2008 some of the most popular colours were lilac with purple tones, chocolate and soft greens (one of my favorites) the trend for 2009 continues with the added explosion of colours that are fresher, brighter and even using quirky colour combinations. Colours for 2009 are far more out there than in past years, more exotic, brighter and more luminous, can you say exotic Moroccan Bedouin.

The key is to create a mood and the mood is exotic glamour using a bold hit of colour without going overboard. How can you do this, it's easy, keep the main areas of the wedding understated and classic, then add extravagant touches using the colours of your choice. How do you start this why the best way to do this is with your wedding invitation. Get your guests intrigued from Save-the-Date card to your table linens, its all about the design and the colour.

Here is my design for red and pink - an unexpected and quirky color combination that works well together for the centerpieces or bridesmaids outfits but it all starts with the invitation. Let me know what you think.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Garden of Life from Papertrey Ink see here
Paper: Pink Pirouette Card stock (SU); Real Red Card stock (SU); and Whisper White Card stock (SU)

Ink: Classic Ink Real Red (SU)
RGB Colour Settings: Classic Ink Real Red R-213 G-048 B-065
NOTE: Stampin' Up (SU)
